Role Overview:
We are seeking a Market Intelligence & Strategy Manager to support our business through in-depth research, data-driven analysis, and industry expertise. This role is essential in shaping strategic decisions by identifying market opportunities, tracking industry trends, and providing actionable insights into the European rail freight sector. Operating remotely but closely linked to our Amsterdam HQ, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance market intelligence and drive strategic initiatives.
- Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis & Research – Gather, analyze, and interpret market data across the European rail freight sector, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Industry Expertise – Leverage deep knowledge of freight wagons, transportation trends, and regulations to provide insights.
- Data Analytics – Develop innovative methods to extract insights from limited data, using Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams, industry associations, and external partners to align market insights with business goals.
- Strategic Reporting – Prepare and present market reports, forecasts, and recommendations to support key decision-making.
- Travel & Representation – Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings across Europe.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of minimum 5 years in market analysis, ideally in rail freight, logistics, or transportation.
- Strong understanding of freight wagon products and market dynamics.
- Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
- Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
- Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus!).
