Świdnica, Poland

Wagony Świdnica, located in the south-west of Poland, is based on a long-standing experience in developing, manufacturing and performing maintenance of various types of freight wagons and innovative bogies.

The history of Wagony Świdnica starts in the decade of the 1920s when it was built as a repair shop for the German State Railway (Deutsche Reichsbahn). The Polish era began in September 1945, when the factory was handed over to the Polish government and continued its repair activities for the Polish Railways. The company started to manufacture rail freight wagons in 1951 and has built until now over 110,000 wagons of various types. Wagony Świdnica was acquired by The Greenbrier Companies in 1998. To be closer to the full-service company model, Wagony Świdnica acquired two Polish repair shops, ZNTK Oława and ZTK SIARKOPOL, in 2011-2012.

Wagony Świdnica has manufactured rail freight wagons for customers located in Europe, North America and the Middle East.
